Lovin' Lush #5 // Forever Repurchasing

To clarify: I mean 'repurchasing forever' as in 'I'll always love you', rather than 'you're a product that runs out way too quick, I'm forever running to the shops to buy you'. Just sayin'. Anyway, yes, I use these two wonder products so often I don't know what I'd do (or my skin would do, for that matter) without them..

The Fresh Farmacy (£4.95/100g) soap is what I always reach for. In fact, I don't think I've gone down a different path for my (morning) facial cleanser in months. Months. I use Fresh Farmacy religiously; my face won't feel clean without it. Despite the fact I don't notice my love when I lather the product, I definitely know my skin is crying for it when I'm left with only half a 5p piece to scrape by on.. Must repurchase immediately. Always.

Instead of incorporating Cosmetic Warrior (£6.50) into my everyday routine (it would be too harsh daily for my skin), I'd use this 1 or 2 times a week to thoroughly cleanse my face. Looking at the size of the pot, 75g, you might be thinking "you'll only get one or two uses out of that!", but, I find that I get at least 4, 5 or even 6 uses before the date expires (due to the fresh ingredients) or until I've raked every single little scoop I can. Cosmetic Warrior is a staple face mask for myself: I think it's always nice to have a face mask on stand-by for when pampering is initiated..and so, this is also always on my list when I pop into Lush (or I whenever I can persuade my Mum to pick one up for me..).

Do you have any Lush holy-grail products? I'd love to know in the comments!

A Moisturising Match Made in Heaven

Firstly: you had to like my alliteration in the title, right? Winter is always the time of the Year that our skin suffers the most (dry, cold weather certainly isn't the most desirable), and so, our skincare routines need to be a combination of soothing, moisturising products. And that is where the Clarins Multi-Active Skin Renewal Serum* steps in. I guess that to have happy skin you need a team of products that amp up each other and work together - I use any moisturiser - but, the Clarins serum is what does all the talking.

Clarins say ''[The serum] stimulates skin’s natural exfoliation process, helping to speed cellular renewal for a supple, toned, glowing complexion'', which I totally I agree with. After using this (before my moisturiser) my skin looks and feels a lot healthier and really does glow.

REVIEW // Hydraluron

If there's one skincare product you need this Winter: it's something that will enhance the power of your moisturizer and increase hydration to the maximum. That's where Hydraluron comes in.

Designed by the brand Indeed Labs, Hydraluron ''increases skin hydration from below the surface with an ultra high-quality hydraluonic acid that holds up to 1,000 times its weight in water''. Basically, after using Hydraluron your skin should be ''plumped'', refined and glowing. In my opinion, I think this is a fabulous product to really amplify my daily moisturizer - thumbs up from me!

Find Hydraluron here via the Boots website (and check out the other products in the range..).

Need moisture? Simple

To the girls who are blessed with hydrated, normal (as in pretty perfect) skin - this post is not for you. On the other hand, if you need that extra oompfhh of moisture then the Simple Kind To Skin Moisture Boost Hydro Cream (what a name!!) might be just what you need.

To be totally honest, if someone told me ''you're going to wake up 5 minutes earlier this morning to add more steps into your skincare routine..", i'd just laugh. Longer time in bed to snooze or a few minutes longer giving your face an extra somthing? Ermm.. it's an easy one *throughs alarm clock out the window*. If you get my point, i'm saying that this is not a necessary part in my routine, but when the weekend comes round, just before moisturising, i'd pop this Simple Cream on and bobs your uncle (please say you've heard of this saying before, and i'm not being stupid..).

The Simple Kind To Skin Moisture Boost Hydro Cream amplifies the moisture in your skin, making it hold extra water and be overall more hydrated. Also, I feel that whenever I use this cream my base makeup looks times more radiant and I think my foundation generally applies a lot nicer. The finish I recieve when I have used this really does appear differently, and I think my skin thanks me for it.

If you need a kick up a notch in the moisture department, then why not try this? Link on Boots.com - here.

Fab Product Friday #2

The Body Shop Overnight Serum-in-Oil really does hit the nail on the head in terms of hybrid two-in-one products, which seem to be too easy to reach for at the moment. And so this fortnights ''fab product' has to go to this genius idea. Combining a hydrating oil texture and a nourishing serum work well in this instance, and the Vitamin E properties leave the skin feeling soothed.

I find it's best to apply by taking a small squeeze from the pipette (literally a couple of drops) and using a massaging technique with my finger until the liquid feels absorbed. I leave it for a couple of minutes and then follow up with my moisturiser and targeted treatments.

Overall, I love using this overnight serum (good for pamper evenings too) and it's not a product to miss, especially for only £12 - which for a enriched oil is pretty great.
