HAUL // Boots, Superdrug & Topshop

So, I went shopping (whoops) - I hit the shops and I spent my precious money. Get yourself prepared for a long post; here's what I bought (including a couple of bargains)..

Soap&Glory Glow All Out (£11)
I read one single review on this over the course of Christmas and knew I had to have it in the New Year. 'Glow All Out' is basically a very light, wearable highlighter that provides a radiant face all over - what more could you want? I'll have to report back on this because I could, potentially, end up looking like a disco ball..

Soap&Glory Supercat Eye Liner (£6)
I couldn't resist in falling for Boot's 'Buy 1 Get 1 Half Price' offer and so I have to admit that I ended up adding the Supercat Liner to my basket as well.. I suppose Supercat is just a standard eye liner; nevertheless, I'm intrigued to see if this proves champion against any other slim eye liner I have trialed before (will it fair any better?).

Topshop Grey Knit Hat (£10 £5) - No Online Link.
I was looking for a cosy hat throughout all of December and have only just found one now. After Christmas. Nevertheless, I think this hat is perfect for bad hair days, relaxing walks and wrapping up warm (especially considering it snowed yesterday)!

Topshop Nail Varnish 'Silhouette' (£5 £3) - No Online Link.
Bargain, I think. This nail varnish, although it looks black, in reality is actually a very, very dark grey. Topshop nail varnishes have a really nice consistency - not too thin, not too thick (I sound like Goldilocks..) - therefore, they apply ever so easily in one or two swishes. I've just painted my nails with Silhouette (they better not smude while writing this..) and think the shade looks fabulous despite the fact it needed at least two coats for the full opaque effect.

Rimmel Undercover Shadow Primer (£4.99)
Hmm.. I'm not too sure about this Primer after reading some reviews... I'll have to give it another couple of tries; but, after using this once I actually agreed with one of the reviews saying: this primer is the reverse of what it's meant to do. Personally, I think this primer made the wear time of my eye shadow worse..

Rimmel Moisture Renew Clear Lip Liner (£3.99)
Recently, I have been wearing lipstick more often in a vast variety of shades. For that reason, I thought buying a translucent lip liner would be more worthwhile (at the moment), instead of buying several coloured ones - I'll have to see if this liner is any good! I'll report back in a few weeks?..

MUA Trio Eyeshadow 'Emotions' (£2.50)
Firstly, the price tag means each single eyeshadow costs just over a mere 83 pence.. That's crazy! Secondly, I think there's something so pretty and interesting about marble effect makeup products. Whether it's eyeshadow or not, I think anything with a pattern intrigues me. These eye shadows, in particularly, are bronzy and compliment each other perfectly.

Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Bronzer 'Ready To Go' (£4)
This product is, I think, a highlight-bronzer hybrid. Swatch it in store and see for yourself; but, I believe this bronzer will add an adored glowing effect to the high points of your cheekbones.

That is everything, I hope you've had a lovely day!
Check back for my post on Friday (which could be is a post all about my new DSLR)...

New Product // Max Factor CC Stick (Under Eye)

When a new product promises to fix (cover..) a problem area of mine, of course my reaction is positive. So, the second I discovered that Max Factor had created a new, stick-shaped balm that corrects purple under eye hues, I was definitely intrigued.

"New Colour Corrector sticks from Max Factor use the way colours balance and neutralise each other to correct and perfect any tonal imperfections in your skin such as dark under eye circles, blemishes or redness."

The consistency is smooth and workable, making it easy to blend seamlessly into your skin. My first impression was "wow, that sure is light (in colour)..", but saying that, once blended evenly out, it disappears and sinks into my face almost completely. Nevertheless, I wouldn't suggest wearing this alone, as the shade difference may stand out. Covered with concealer and/or foundation works well and the textures work well together. No caking, no smudging, nothing. I also find that this makes the eye area appear much more brighter and awake. Overall, a thumbs up from me!

The Max Factor Colour Corrector Stick is avaliable in 5 colours via www.boots.com - here.

HAUL // Boots & Superdrug

Hauls are most definitely my favourite type of blog post, whether I read them, write them or simply envy them, I will always enjoy a good scroll through someone's shopping bags! Recently, I took a trip to Boots & Superdrug and I couldn't resit picking up a few bits - especially when Boots have their 3For2 on...

Firstly, in Superdrug I reached for the OLAY Essentials Beauty Fluid for Sensitive Skin £3.99, I got it at £3.32 (something odd like that) for 1/3 off. After hearing the gorgeous Sammi from BeautyCrush going on and on about this basic moisturiser I knew it would be worth investing in (not like £3 can hurt anyone, ay). I might do a review on this later, early days but I think it's a keeper.

Then I headed to Boots, Advantage Card at my side. The Natural Collection stand always interests me when i'm there but I never seem to feel the urge to buy anything, until today. The blushers intrigued me the most to be honest, as the powder is extremely pigmented (I'll have to have a light hand when applying this one). For only £1.99 it was a bargain, and bought the shade ''Sweet Cheeks''. To go along with my 3For2 I added a couple of very plain and very boring eye shadows to my basket. Hopefully these products will be a good little purchase, great value anyway.

I picked up the Real Techniques Core Collection too in Superdrug (because it was £2 cheaper here than in Boots... a girls gotta save those pennies). They have already found a place on my dresser amongst their friends (what?) are are most definitely a must have so far. Great selection on brushes, great quality, good value, can't go wrong. (Not pictured).

On a little (well fairly big) whim I decided to buy the No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Brush £15.00 (from £24.95). Obviously, the Clarasonic Brushes (similar) will be a whole lot better but they are extremely expensive, I will not buy a brush for over £100... just yet. Only used this one a few times so far, so i'll use it more to get a feel first before I'll review it. Also, I bought a Revlon ColourStay Concealer £6.99 as I wanted to venture out and try a new concealer, and it was my freebie, but it might be a tad too orange... Another packet of the No7 Beautiful Skin Wipes £7.00 were needed. (All not pictured).

A second trip to Boots (1 week later...) and I bought the Revlon ColourBurst Matte Balm in Elusive £7.99, which is a beautiful rosy pink shade. Hopefully, I can pull this off as I never wear lipstick. Lastly, a new mascara Maybelline The Falsies £7.99 which is a repurchase (to read my empties post click here). This was free when my Mum also bought a mascara in their 3For2 deal aswell. (Not pictured).

Hope you've liked my haul, my purse is a little bit lighter... but I know I've wanted some of these products for a while (I'm looking at you Core Collection).

What is/has been on your wishlist for a while? Treat yourself, go on!
